Leaning into her faith, Annette began leading women’s groups, volunteering in community outreach, and rediscovering her passion for entrepreneurship. Her personal story of resilience and restoration became the foundation for SoloMama LaunchPad™, born from the understanding that transformation happens when single mothers are given both practical tools and a community that believes in them.
Today, Annette is more than a founder. She’s a mentor, motivator, and champion for single mothers chasing their purpose. With 20 years of experience in B2B operations, marketing, event coordination, and community leadership, she created SoloMama LaunchPad™ to offer what she once needed most: a supportive environment that believes in the power and potential of single mothers to rise above life’s challenges.

Beverly Scoon is a seasoned operations leader and single mother who transforms personal experience into powerful systems for change. After navigating 30+ years of balancing career demands with raising her two daughters. She discovered that structure and community are the keys to not just surviving, but thriving.
As COO of SoloMama LaunchPad™, Beverly leverages three decades of operational excellence to build sustainable programs that empower single mothers. Her leadership spans team management, large-scale initiative execution, and nonprofit board service, including roles as Treasurer, Vice President, and Director of Special Events. She brings strategic planning expertise and systems thinking to every challenge.
Beverly’s unique strength lies in bridging lived experience with operational mastery. She doesn’t just understand the struggles single mothers face, she architects the infrastructure to help them rise above those challenges and build lasting legacies.

Diana Scott - President
Diana provides leadership to the Board, ensuring effective governance, strategic alignment, and representation of the Board to external stakeholders. Diana’s role facilitates collaboration among Directors and between the Board and senior management, while upholding the integrity and effectiveness of Board operations. Diana is a passionate entrepreneur and advocate dedicated to supporting families, children, and underserved communities. As the Founder and CEO of Scott Children & Youth Services (SCYS) Inc., Diana brings over two decades of experience in child and youth work, specializing in supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse needs. Her entrepreneurial journey and deep expertise in child and youth services bring critical perspective to SoloMama's mission of supporting single mothers navigating the dual responsibilities of caregiving and business ownership.
Maggie Perotin - Vice President
Maggie supports the President in Board leadership, assumes presidential duties in the President's absence, and provides strategic oversight to advance the organization's mission and governance effectiveness. She is a business and leadership coach, podcast host, and founder of Stairway to Leadership. With an Executive MBA and over 18 years of corporate experience, Maggie brings deep expertise in scaling businesses, operational excellence, and leadership development. Maggie is especially passionate about empowering women to build successful businesses that provide financial independence while honoring their personal priorities. Her entrepreneurial expertise, business coaching experience, and deep understanding of the unique intersection of single motherhood and entrepreneurship make her an essential voice in shaping SoloMama LaunchPad's strategic direction and program delivery.
Daffodil Stewart - Treasurer
Daffodil collaborates with the President and senior management to ensure the financial integrity and fiduciary accountability of the organization. She develops and reviews budgets, collaborates on funding strategies, and ensures resources are allocated for maximum impact. Combining professional acumen with lived experience, Daffodil offers strategic insight and deep empathy helping build a program that truly reflects and supports the realities of the Single mothers we serve. Her financial stewardship is instrumental in advancing SoloMama LaunchPad’s mission and strengthening its foundation for growth.
Sylvia Calleri - Director
Sylvia contribute to governance, strategic oversight, and the fulfillment of the organization's mission through active participation in Board meetings, committees, and decision-making processes. She is the face and smile behind Authentically Evolving & Pitch-a-Friend, with a mission to inspire, empower, and uplift those around her, helping them step into their power and create lives filled with purpose, success, and spiritual fulfillment. Her entrepreneurial expertise and understanding of business growth strategies bring valuable perspective to SoloMama LaunchPad's mission of empowering single mothers to build sustainable businesses. Giving back is incredibly important to Sylvia, and she donates a portion of her sales to various charities close to her heart.
Cheryl Joseph - Secretary
Cheryl ensures the Board operates with transparency, accountability, and adherence to best practices in nonprofit governance. She supports the President and Board in upholding fiduciary duties and ensuring accurate documentation and legal compliance. Cheryl has participated in Toronto Carnival, supporting cultural celebrations that strengthen community bonds. She volunteered with the Roots and Branches Youth Dance Organization, helping young people develop their talents and confidence. Cheryl’s professional expertise and community engagement, brings an authentic understanding of the cultural contexts and challenges faced by many single mothers in the GTA. Her meticulous approach to documentation and compliance supports SoloMama LaunchPad's credibility with funders, partners, and the communities it serves.
