The Impact of the Lioness Den Pitch to Empower
At our recent Lioness Den Pitch to Empower, single mothers courageously shared their business ideas before expert judges and a supportive audience. This event was more than a competition; it was a launchpad to equip them with confidence, resources, and inspiration to grow as entrepreneurs.
Congratulations to our three winners, who received full sponsorship into our SoloMama LaunchPad program plus prizes like marketing products, business coaching, and a three-night stay in one of 60 North American cities. Every participant also left with meaningful prizes to fuel their business journey.
Lioness Den Pitch to Empower: From Ideas to Action Single Mothers Leave Inspired and Equipped!! “I feel very confident about pursuing my business idea,” shared one participant, while another highlighted how “the advice, resources, and connections were very valuable for moving my business forward.” Many rated their overall experience a 5/5, calling it both inspiring and empowering. Meet Clarissa Sidaway
Public Accountant
Clarissa is a partner and licenced public accountant at Murphy & Chung Professional Corporation. She graduated from Ontario Tech University (formerly the University of Ontario Institute of Technology) and received her designation as a Chartered Accountant while articling for the Office of the Auditor General of Canada. Clarissa has been in practice as an owner/partner since 2017 and as of August 2023, she has partnered with Murphy & Chung Professional Corporation. Clarissa works with clients of all sizes but has a passion for small to medium sized business and non-profit organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys curling and going camping with her family. She has one son and many nieces and nephews that keep her on her toes!
